Quick Update

Hello to all my readers. I just wanted to give you an update to my last post. As you know, I was to be taking care of my ill father. He was transported to my house by ambulance on Monday, May 2, 2005. He settled in quite well and was in good spirits even though he seemed to be a little disoriented at times. It was like bringing home a new baby. I never thought at the age of 35 that I would be "parenting the parent." Even though I was the caregiver, I still knew that he was dad and that I was the baby girl. Especially when he would give me that look or tone of voice that I remember from childhood days letting me know who is in charge.
I am sad to report that my father passed away one week later in his sleep, on the early morning of Monday, May 9, 2005. I am grateful that he is no longer sufffering and in pain. And it is truely a blessing that he went in his sleep and that he had no additional pain. Do I miss him? You bet I do. But I have many good memories of him and I would not have traded the last week that we spent together and me caring for him for anything in the world!! I helped him to be as comfortable as possible. And the Hospice nurses and staff made their routine visits each day to check on him and to do their duties. We all knew that the end was near and that anything could happen and I will admit that we were a little surprised that it was so soon, since his vitals were still good and that he was still talking and making conversation right up until the night before he left this earth. He was a strong man, a good man. And he will forever be missed, but not forgotten. He will always remain here with me in my heart and in my memories.
To let you know that while I am still picking up the pieces from my loss, I will be slowly submersing myself back into the swing of things and hope to have more content and useful information for you in the coming posts. Until then, tell your family and friends that you love them, and treasure every moment that you share together. Do not let petty arguments and differences get in the way and rob you from these gifts and moments that you have.

God Bless,

Attractor Factor

Hello to everyone in cyberland!

Sorry it's been awhile since I last posted. There have been so many things going on in my life with myself and my family, it's hard to know where to begin. The main thing that has kept me away from my blog is the fact that I am now "parenting the parent" so to speak. There comes a time in everyone's life when they have to take care of their parents in some sort of way. You see, my father is terminally ill with lung cancer and is now nearing the end of his days here on this blessed earth and I have been helping my mother take care of him and giving her a break so that she may do other things that she needs to do for herself. Since his wish is to die at home, he is under hospice care, and they make their visits to the house each day.(Mondays-Friday) Their nursing staff have been a great help and their volunteers are wonderful. The volunteers who are experienced in these types of situations, help out my mother when my sister and I are unable to be there. I just want to say that I haven't forgotten my wonderful readers and to let you know that I have just been a little pre-occupied.

On another note.........Were you able to check out Dr. Joe Vitale's new book "The Attractor Factor?" It hit number 1 on Amazon's best seller list and knocked Harry Potter off his broomstick. I am slowing nearing the end of the book and implementing the steps Mr. Vitale has outlined and will let you know of my results. This is truly a life changing book. I recommend that everyone get a copy. Whatever way you would like to improve your life's situations, whether it be financial, emotional, relationalships, health, etc., this book can help if you truly apply it in your life. Make every day count,

These Last Few Weeks

Hello to every one out there!

Boy, these last few weeks my family has been under the weather. Just when you think you may have beaten the flu virus and other sickness--BAM! It strikes with no warning! It first started with my son. His started with the cough, sneezing, aching and turned into the full blown bronchitis. He was home from school for a week. I was next in line to get this, which turned into a respiratory infection from there. Then my husband and my daughter got a "touch" of it. Seems they were luckier than my son and I as there symptoms seemed to be much milder and they got over it quicker. Needless to say, that we are all better now.

In my downtime from my illness and taking care of everyone else, I ran across an amazing program called Empowerism. I believe it may just be the answer I have been looking for. Why not take a looksie for yourself and click the link below.

Until next time,

How's Everyone's New Year Starting Out?

Well here we are at the start of 2005! I got some bad news that my favorite uncle had passed away Wednesday of last week from his battle with esophogus cancer. We will greatly miss him and his humor. My father is also sick with terminal lung cancer, but he was able to make it out to his brother's funeral. Even though things can seem dismal sometimes, I still try to remain positive and look to a "Higher Source" for comfort when times seem too much to bare.
So in light of the new year beginning I just want to say to everyone reading this, life is too short to worry about the petty things. Enjoy life and embrace every day like it was your last.

Happy New Years

I just wanted to say a warm hello to all of my readers out there and to wish every one a safe, wonderful and happy New Year. May all of your dreams come true for the year 2005 and may it be a prosperous and abundant one!! No matter what challenges you may face, remember that you are a powerful being made in God's image, and that all things are possible with Him.

I am off to head out for a busy day of errands and visiting my parents. My husband and I will are staying in this New Year's Eve and renting movies to watch with our two children. Sometimes it is nice to go out on New Year's Eve, but I find it much more rewarding to bring in the New Year with my family. Whatever you may be doing tonight, have fun and be safe.

See you in the New Year,
Christina

The start of a New Year is upon us

Hi to everyone out there! I do hope the Christmas Season has treated you and your loved ones well. Even though it is a hectic time of year for most of us, I still like to reflect upon the past year. You know, the highlights as well as the lowlights. It gives me a chance to go over the goals that I wrote and see how many I have achieved and ones that I need to "tweak" a little bit. I never look as a goal that was not attained as a failure. Rather, I look at it as a learning experience and ways to improve. So now that the year 2005 is around the corner, I intend to make higher goals for myself and to make it an even more rewarding and profitable year than 2004. I do wish the same for everyone else.
Have a safe and Happy New Year,
Christina
